Kelly is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist licensed in the state of New York. Additionally, she holds certification to teach students with speech and language disabilities (TSSLD). She has a passion for working with individuals of all ages. Kelly earned her degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Iona University in New Rochelle, New York.
Kelly has been a speech therapist for 8 years and has worked with individuals of all ages. She began her career working with children from birth to 3 years old with a variety of speech and language disorders. Through working with these families, Kelly learned the importance of forging strong relationships with each child and their families to promote as much progress as possible.
Kelly believes in taking a holistic approach when it comes to her practice. Over the years, Kelly has collaborated with other related service providers, such as occupational therapists or physical therapists to maximize therapeutic outcomes and integrate strategies and/or activities that are highly motivating to the individual to make therapy as engaging as possible.
Throughout her career as a speech therapist, she has learned the importance of developing speech, language, and social communication skills and strategies for individuals that are everlasting. Kelly is passionate about providing speech and language therapy to individuals of all ages. When working with adolescents, she is interested in assisting with building connections with peers as well as learning communication strategies for vocational settings.
